Javed Mughal Javed has held the position of Head Physiotherapist at Gillingham Football Club and Watford Football Club. He has held the position of Specialist Clinician at the Medway Hospital and regularly appeared on Invicta Radio offering advice on back problems and sports injuries. Javed continues to offer advice in the local media and carries out seminars for the local community. He has founded the physio's in football education group www.physiosinfootball.com and is currently lecturing in London on sports medicine post graduate courses. In September 2011, Javed lectured on back pain, at the Queen Mary's Hospital in London. In January 2012, he lectured to a world wide audience on shin pain at The Royal College of Surgeons. In May 2012, Javed lectured in Greece to an international audience on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injuries, Achilles injuries and Patella Tendon injuries. In June 2012, he lectured at the Podiatrists conference on back pain with further lectures planned later on in the year. |

Keely Sharman Keely has been employed by Rainham Physiotherapy Centre since October 2000. After 4 years as a Secretary/Receptionist she was promoted to Practice Manager. Her duties include managing Company Policies, the day to day running of Reception, Health and Safety issues, book keeping and also liaising with various Consultants, GP’s, Insurance Company’s and Solicitors, as well as acting PA to Mr Javed Mughal. Keely’s previous work history includes working at the London Headquarters of a National Retailers for 13 years. She worked in a Secretarial capacity in numerous departments such as Admin, Personnel and Finance. She also provided PA cover for the Company Departmental Director. After leaving London to bring up a family, Keely qualified to become a Pre-School Assistant at a local primary school. Keely is a sports enthusiast and has played hockey for Kent under 16’s and for a local Hockey Club. She currently plays netball in the Medway League. |

Anita Bushell Anita comes from a large family who have lived in Rainham for many generations. She attended local schools and after completing a Secretarial course at Mid-Kent College worked locally for Lloyds TSB before starting a family. On returning to work she joined Marks and Spencer’s, Hempstead Valley for ten years followed by Fairview Estate Agents. Anita joined Rainham Physiotherapy Centre part time in January 2009, this came about following a back operation after which the clinic helped Anita with her rehabilitation to get back to normal daily activities. She currently enjoys her job immensely, meeting new people and being able to relate to some of their problems through experience. She hopes to reassure clients that with the help of our physiotherapist’s advice their life can get back to near normal again. Anita enjoys Pilates, Walking and going to the gym. |

Sandra Lamb
She joined Rainham Physiotherapy Centre in 2006 and now specialises in the treatment and rehabilitation of Musculo- skeletal problems .Sandra has a particular interest in the assessment and management of spinal (neck and back) problems and has a special interest in using Modified Pilates for the treatment of back pain. Sandra is a qualified Modified Matwork Pilates Instructor. To keep fit Sandra runs regularly and practices Pilates Classes. |

Uma Thangavelu ( Umashankar Thangavelu ) Uma qualified as a physiotherapist in 1998. He completed his Masters in Neurology in 2001 and has been working in the NHS since 2004 and has got widespread experience in treating Neuro-musculoskeletal Disorders. Currently working to complete the Mckenzie Credential exam to become a credentialed practitioner. Special interest in treating Spinal conditions and sports rehabilitation. Uma is currently undertaking joint and soft tissue injections to be completed in January 2013. He is aspirant to undertake clinical research in spinal conditions. Passion about cricket and play while time permits |

Steve Allen Following a number of successful years in athletics at school through to senior level, and playing and managing in local football, Steve became interested in the treatment of sports injuries and massage therapy. He qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist in 1994 and initially used his knowledge to treat local athletes and footballers. In 2001 Steve was fortunate enough to be offered a part-time position at the Rainham Physiotherapy Centre. In 2003 he was asked by the British Indoor Cricket Association to help the teams improve their fitness and conditioning for the Indoor Cricket World Cup held in London. Steve has since been on tour with the squad and has travelled to South Africa and Australia as the Lead Physiotherapist. Steve has completed courses in the latest Achilles Tendonopathy treatments, Hamstring Injuries and Rehab. He has a diploma in the FA Level 2 Treatment of Injuries and has completed courses in the use of Electrotherapy and Ultrasound.

Dave Morris Dave has a Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy from the London School of Sports Massage and the F.A. Diploma in the Treatment of Injury. He has been practicing since 1999 and joined the Rainham Physiotherapy Centre in 2002. Prior to this, he worked in Sports footwear retail for nearly 20 years after gaining an HND in Business Studies and Recreation Management.Dave ran competitively for over 30 years and represented Surrey at Cross Country and Tract. He now cycles and regularly competes in races and sportives. |
